Craftmanship you can afford
After the fire, it was astonishing how many opportunistic builders swooped in with inflated cost-per-square foot estimates, scaring off long-time residents from rebuilding. Quality craftmanship at an affordable price is possible. Collaborative work between homeowners, architects, and builders should be expected. Our town has gone through enough - we don't need outsiders spreading misinformation. We need quality home construction for neighbors wanting to rebuild their homes (and lives). As a fellow fire victim, I know firsthand the emotional and financial toll this fire has taken. I want to ease that burden for my neighbors, so I'm launching the Altadena Custom Builds project, designed to develop beautiful homes that my neighbors can afford without skimping on quality.
"Altadena's community is eclectic. Our neighbors are designing interesting and unique homes. Each rebuild should take a homeowner's creative vision and make their dream come true at a price that's fair."
Honoring the Past with a Better Future
When the Eaton Fire took our homes, it didn't only take walls and roofs - it took years of decisions, memories, and a particular sense of belonging that can't fully be replaced with a template.
Alexander Agraphiotis.
Alexander has spent 25+ years in custom construction through his company, Machaon Construction, building one-of-one homes across Southern California. He founded Altadena Custom Builds after losing his own home in the Eaton Fire, a focused effort to bring that experience back to his own neighborhood.
He's not a builder who hands the project off to layers of management. He's at the table from the first site walk and on-site through punch list. Clients have his cell phone. You can find him in the neighborhood every day.
He knows what you're going through. He also knows how to get you back where you want to be...home.
